Located in southwest Washington, the Gifford Pinchot National Forest encompasses 1,368,300 acres of forests, mountains, river valleys, waterfalls, wildernesses, and volcanoes. The forest has three main geographic areas to visit including Cowlitz Valley Ranger District, Mount Adams Ranger District, and Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument & District.
