Sahale
a Northwest Native American word meaning “high lofty place”, “falcon”, “sacred”.
A Recipe for a fantastic Sunday is a beautiful bluebird day spent hiking to Sahale Arm (~7600′) in the North Cascades with friends. The beauty of this area and the scale of the surrounding mountains simply can’t be captured in photos.
And we even got to see falcons – one swooping down the valley so fast from the summit we could barely keep him in our sights! A few others in our group spotted a large black bear, slowly ambling his way down the meadows. Gorgeousness!!
